About This Project
This project focuses on the development of a high-reliability Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and Auto Main Failure (AMF) control card. Engineered specifically for professional generator integration, the system automates the transition between utility power (Wapda) and backup generator sets. It eliminates manual intervention by monitoring grid stability and managing the complete start-to-stop lifecycle of the engine. Core Functionality Grid Monitoring: Continuously monitors the utility supply for failure or instability. Automated Starting: Upon utility failure, the system initiates the generator start sequence, including fuel solenoid and choke management. Intelligent Load Switching: Automatically transfers the electrical load to the generator once stable voltage is detected, and reverts to the grid when utility power returns. Engine Protection: Includes a generator cool-down period and a multi-try starting logic (up to 4 attempts) to ensure system longevity and reliability. Technical Specifications Processing: Microprocessor-based intelligence for precise timing and logic execution. Adjustable Parameters: User-configurable "Self-On," "Self-Off," and "Gen-On" (Shifting) timers. Visual Diagnostics: Integrated LED indicators for Fuel, Self, Choke, Wapda Relay, Gen Relay, Error status, and Power. Build Quality: Constructed on a high-grade 4" x 5.5" fiberglass PCB for durability in industrial environments. Safety Features: Onboard Reset button and error-handling logic to prevent engine damage during failed start attempts.
